by Mark KwanNovember 13, 2014

If you’ve been wanting to get your hands on the Swype keyboard for iOS, but you’ve been turned off by the $0.99 price tag, now the time to grab it. Apple has named the third-party keyboard its iOS App of the Week. (Which means it’s free!)

Swype Keyboard Free iOS App of he Week

The Swype gesture based keyboard allows users to drag their finger from key-to-key, (“Swyping” you might call it – Mark.), to quickly enter words on their iOS device. The keyboard also includes a predictive text engine and predictive punctuation to cut down on “Swypes.” (OK, that’s the last time I’ll do that, promise. – Mark.)

From the Swype App Store Page:

Swype is the most accurate keyboard on the planet. Whether you type or Swype we enable you to input words faster and easier. It learns the way you type so the more you use it, the smarter it gets.

New Features:
• 21 languages supported including 16 new downloadable languages
• Intelligent Emoji support in 6 languages (English (US), English (UK), French, Italian, German and Spanish)
• Improved iPad layout
• Customizable keyboard layout (QWERTY, QWERTZ, AZERTY)
• Sound on Keypress option added (*Requires “Full Access”)

Product Features:
• Incredibly intuitive language models that accurately predict what you type or Swype
• Five beautiful themes – FREE on iPhone.
• Quickly enter symbols, punctuation and capital letters with Swype gestures
• Swype learns how you type. You can tell it to add or remove words from your personal dictionary
• You can Swype on your iPad as well as your iPhone

Swype will be available FREE for the iPhone and iPad in the App Store for the next week. [DIRECT LINK]

So “Swype” it before this deal is gone forever! (Sorry, I HAD to do that one! – Mark.)
