Apple Looks to Be Focusing A lot on OS X 10.10 at This Years WWDC

Because of its “end-to-end” redesign, the next-generation Mac OS X will have more space at this year’s Worldwide Developer Conference, sources familiar with the matter tell 9to5Mac, as Apple wants to promote the new operating system to developers.

Codenamed “Syrah” after the wine, Mac OS X 10.10 will have similar design elements to iOS, but Apple will keep the two operating systems as separate entities.

Apple Reportedly Preparing 11- and 13-inch MacBook Air Model Refresh Next Week

French site MacGeneration (via MacRumors) reports that Apple could update its MacBook Air line as early as next week. The information comes from reliable sources speaking with the site and pointed to new devices coming with 11- and 13-inch screens, which are the sizes of the MacBook Air line.

If we can believe the rumours, the update will arrive next Tuesday and will bring a slight performance upgrade among other changes. Apple can choose between a number of recently launched processors, including the 1.4 GHz i5-4260U, the 1.4 GHz i5-4350U, and the 1.5 GHz i5-4360U.

Apple Releases OS X 10.9.1 with Improved Support for Gmail and More

Following a Mail update for Mavericks in November, Apple today released OS X 10.9.1, an update that contains stability and compatibility enhancements for Mac computers.

The update also includes improved support for Gmail in OS X Mail, improved the reliability of Smart Mailboxes, and fixed an issue that prevented VoiceOver from speaking sentences that contained an emoji, among other updates.
